Production has decreased compared to 22-23 due to unfavourable blossom rains and the impact of climate change. Water tanks are being constructed to counter this.
Pepper: 12.5 tonnes
Pepper production is increasing as new vines have started bearing fruit.
Areca: 4 tonnes
Nut production is increasing and new areas will also bear fruit in the next 3 years.
Cocoa: 0.5 tonnes
~ The Sita River flows on one side of the estate and water is taken from the river for irrigation. In addition, there are 2 old and 1 new water tank, which are sufficient for irrigation throughout the year. Water is available.
Replanting Details: About 40 acres of Arabica area has been replanted with new coffee varieties between 2010 and 2018. Replanting of old areas is ongoing and details of the recently replanted areas are given above. These areas will start yielding from 2024-25 and the production will increase further in the coming years.
Replanting is being done in a planned manner every year and this process of improvement is continuously going on. Its positive impact will be clearly visible in the coming years.
Infilling Details: Infilling is the process of planting new plants in vacant areas. This work is being done continuously to maintain and increase the production of various crops. As a result, the production of pepper and areca nut is increasing and the production will continue to increase in the coming years.
